About Open Access

The Department of Twin Research is committed to providing the scientific community with unrestricted access to the phenotype data from the TwinsUK cohort. As part of its initial phase, a subset of the data is currently available for open access, and includes standing height, weight, body mass index, birth weight, zygosity, blood pressure, smoking status and related administrative information. Access to phenotypes will be provided by submitting your details via the registration form. On submission, you will recieve a confirmation email.

Access to any other phenotype data from the Department Of Twin Research is available through the Regular submission process.

Disclaimer

This is the first phase of open access data release. The phenotype data and documentation for open access are the beta testing version at present and may change for upgrades, thus your comments or suggestions are highly appreciated. Please email Victoria Vazquez.

Recipients of this data should acknowledge the Wellcome Trust as well as the TwinsUK participants in any publication/presentation which uses the twin phenotypic data in any form.
